Sinessence - Thrillseeker (2010)

Sinessence, consisting of two sound engineers from Berlin Sten
and Ryko, as well as the Paris-based DJane Lili, lives from the
different musical background from their members. They show some
parallels in sound processing to bands like Mentallo & the
Fixer, Skinny Puppy or Front Line Assembly, which came from
Stens musical roots. Beside his main band Sinessence, Sten works
also in other ambient-, industrial-and popprojects and was also
member of Terminal Choice for some years. Ryko comes from a more
noise / industrial sector and he colours the production style
with noise attacks and square melodies. Lilis heart beats for
Front 242 and Oldschool electro / E.B.M.
Their debut is full of powerful beats, the texts know to
convince. The variable and versatile vocal lines round up
perfectly their unique sound. As appetizer for the album,
Sinessence released a digital only single in december 2009. The
single featured some exclusive tracks or remixes by Supreme
Court and Dismantled. The video to "Between" got a lot of
attention, too. The band played gigs since as support act for
Fixmer/McCarthy, SolarFake, Haujobb, Sero.Overdose, Painbastard
and Rotersand. But Sinessence not only convince live, but were
also asked by a number of important acts to produce remixes,
incl. Nitzer Ebb, Solitary Experiments, Leaether Strip,
Mechanical Moth or Mezire.
